Salesforce, the leading CRM platform company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Slack Technologies, Inc., an enterprise communications platform. The deal represents an enterprise value of approximately $27.7 billion. Slack will be the new interface for Salesforce Customer 360, an integrated cross-cloud solution that integrates multiple data sources. The deal enables Slack to expand its footprint across enterprise customers. Together, Salesforce and Slack is expected to create the most extensive open ecosystem of apps and workflows for business.
